Seven Run Inning Provides Pios Win Over Geneva

ELMIRA, NY— Down by four entering the sixth, the Elmira Pioneers would score seven
runs to pull away and win 12-7 against the Geneva Red Wings Tuesday, at Dunn Field.
The bottom of the sixth started with Tyler Adamo knocking a single that would open the
flood gates. Five players would walk to get on, and Caleb Delaney would get the second
hit of the inning with an RBI double.
Adamo, Delaney, and Alex Davis would all have multi-hit performances. Meanwhile,
Jack Tubman and Jalyn Tidwell hit back-to-back homeruns in the first inning—each of
their firsts on the season,
On the mound, Zachary Nelson went four innings, striking out five with three earned
runs. In relief would see Luke Richards (1-0) shine through his first appearance, with
five innings pitched, six strikeouts, only allowing two hits, a walk and zero earned runs.
The next game for the Pioneers will be at Geneva Wednesday, Jun.24. The next game
at Historic Dunn Field is against the Newark Thursday, Jun. 25, for Free Hilliard
