PIONEERS BEAT DOWN PILOTS AT HISTORIC DUNN FIELD 23-0

ELMIRA, NY— 14 runs in the third inning, alongside a complete game shutout by Landon Burch, and the Elmira Pioneers defeat the Newark Pilots Thursday, 23-0 at Historic Dunn Field.
The scoring began with a solo homerun from Brandon Doubek in the second inning. Then a total of 18 hits, 13 walks and two hit by pitches scored the remaining twenty-two runs, including the final run being scored via Jayln Tidwell solo home run.
Caleb Delaney went 3-4 with five RBIs, while Tidwell had four RBIs of his own. Doubek and Tidwell both crossed home four times with Doubek walked three times.
Burch went the full seven innings and struck out twelve in the contest.
This is the most runs the Pioneers have scored this season, and first time they have eclipsed the 20 run mark since prior to the 2025 season.
