PIONEERS ANNOUNCE NEXT PLAYER SIGNINGS & DUNN FIELD POLICIES
The Elmira Pioneers have officially signed their next 9 players for their 2026 Roster. Trevor Reed -UTL (Macomb Community College), Tyson Gingerich – OF (Frederick Community College), William Nee-RHP (Roger Williams), Tobias Waldridge-UTL (Houghton University), Ryan Gabianelli-3B (Stonehill University), Ryan Jones-C (University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth), Ryan Kristof-INF (Niagara University), Jacob Jones-LHP (NC State), Kannon VanDuzer-RHP (SUNY Brockport) will call Dunn Field home this summer.
Trevor Reed is a 5’11”, 195-pound utility player from Novi, Michigan who enters the Pioneers following his freshman year at Macomb Community College. At Novi High School, Reed was honored as a member of the All Conference First-Team for the KLAA. Reed was also given the team awards of best bat and the hardest working individual on the team.
Tyson Gingerich is a 6’0”, 190-pound outfielder who will be joining the Pioneers following a season with Frederick Community College. With Frederick Gingerich has batted at a .304 average, hitting three homeruns and obtaining 18 RBI.
Will Nee is a right-handed pitcher from Somerville, N.J. who joined the Roger Williams Hawks after spending two seasons at County College of Morris. Nee missed his senior year of high school following Tommy John surgery but has been building himself back into the role as a pitcher with his last season at Count College of Morris seeing him throw 5.2 scoreless innings pitched.
Tobias Waldridge is a 6’2” utility player, who has pitched and hit for Houghton University in his freshman season. Waldridge is originally from High Point, North Carolina, and has hit for .259 with the Highlanders, including a five hit game on April 22nd against Pitt. -Bradford. His pitching duties have come in relief for the right-hander who has seen four appearances on the mound. Waldridge is studying applied physics with a pre-law track.
Ryan Gabianelli is joining the Pioneers for his first collegiate baseball season before joining the Stonehill University Skyhawks in the Fall. Gabianelli is a 6’3”, 205-pound third baseman who was named to the New England Baseball Journal Preseason “All-Prep Third Team”.
Ryan Jones has been the man behind the dish for the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and now joins the Elmira Pioneers. Jones’ junior year at UMASS-Dartmouth has seen the 5’10”, 220-pound catcher field at a percentage of 97.8%. Jones spent last summer with the Glens Falls Dragons where he recorded five hits.
Ryan Kristof is a 6’2” 200-pound freshman infielder for Niagara University. Kristof is from Windsor, NY, and while at Windsor High School earned the NYSSWA All-State First Team bid for Class B.
Jacob Jones a 6”4 junior left-handed pitcher at NC State. Jones is originally from Greensboro North Carolina. Jones had previously spent time with the Reidsville Luckies in the Old North State League. Jones brings size & experience to the Pioneers this season.
Kannon VanDuzer switches teams from last season in the PGCBL, from the Geneva Red Wings over to the Elmira Pioneers. VanDuzer returned to SUNY Brockport as a graduate student playing both first base and pitching. The pitching for the 6’4” right-hander has seen him work through the Golden Eagles’s bullpen, including an outing versus Elmira College, where the two outs he recorded both came off strikes. Last season with Geneva, VanDuzer had a 21/11 strikeout to walk ratio.
The Elmira Pioneers will kick of their 136th season at Dunn Field in May. The Pioneers want to remind fans of all the policies at Dunn Field for the 2026 season. Clear bags are only allowed to enter through the front gates. Clear bags are subject to inspection at the front gates upon entrance.
