PIONEERS ANNOUNCE NEXT FIVE SIGNINGS

The Back to Back West Division Champion Elmira Pioneers have officially released the next five players of their 2025 Roster. This group of 5 will feature a southern tier native from Addison NY as well as 1 returner from the 2024 Championship season. LHP – Andrew Jones, INF – Liam O’Neal, RHP – Luke Horton, OF – Manuel Essely, & RHP – Michael Geissler will join the Pios this summer.

            Andrew Jones, a talented left-handed pitcher from Addison, NY, is set to continue his academic and athletic journey at SUNY Niagara this fall. Standing at 6’, Andrew has been a key player for Addison High School, where he is currently finishing up his high school career.

            Liam O’Neal is a 5’10 infielder from Tenants Harbor, Maine, currently a junior at the University of Bridgeport. A key contributor to his team’s lineup, Liam has showcased his offensive power this season with four homeruns and 19 RBIs on 22 hits.

            Luke Horton is a sophomore pitcher from Sayre, PA, currently attending St. John Fisher University. A reliable arm on the mound, Luke made six appearances last season, pitching 10.2 innings while tallying 14 strikeouts. He finished the year with an impressive 2-1 record and a 2.53 ERA.

            Manuel Essely is a 6’1 sophomore outfielder from Duxbury, MA, currently playing at the Community College of Baltimore County. Last season, he made 17 appearances and stepped up to the plate for 21 at-bats, gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level.

            Michael Geissler, a 6’2 freshman from Wilmington, MA, is playing at Northern Essex Community College, he is joining his second year with the Elmira Pioneers. Last summer, he showcased his durability and command, appearing in 36.2 innings with seven starts. During his first season at Northern Essex, Geissler continued to impress, making 12 appearances recording 56 strikeouts over 41 innings pitched.
