Pioneers Add 3 From Wofford

The Pioneers have added three more unique players to their roster as today they announce the addition of Pitcher Jaydan Martinez, Outfielder Brennen Dorighi, and Infielder Matty Brown.


Martinez is a 6’1, 180 lbs freshman Pitcher from Wofford by way of San Antonio, TX. Jaydan has achieved accolades almost everywhere he has played making the All-Tournament team eight times in the last three seasons, becoming a WWBA Champion, ranking in the top 500 nationally, being a Preseason Underclass All American, before becoming a Preseason All American in his senior year. Martinez fastball hits the high 80’s with regularity and will be a big addition to this year’s Pioneers club.


Dorighi is a 6’2, 205 lbs freshman outfielder from Wofford by way of Cherry Hills Village, CO. Brennen is a three-year varsity letterman at Cherry Creek High School, winning three Centennial League Championships and reaching the semifinals of the state championship twice. During his senior season batted .375 with a .480 on-base percentage and was named to the Coors Field All-Star State Senior Team. As a junior, the team was 19-7 overall and finished third in the state. Dorighi was named first team Academic All-State three times and received underclass Perfect Game honorable mention and Under Armour preseason All-America recognition, along with winning the 2018 18U Perfect Game World Series. Brennen’s grandfather also played baseball for the St Louis Cardinals organization.


Brown is a 5’8, 155 lbs freshman infielder from Wofford by way of Chandler, AZ. Matty led the team in most offensive categories, including batting average (.370), stolen bases (14), runs (27) and home runs (3) as a high school Senior. Brown was named team’s MVP as the squad advanced to the second round of the state playoffs and earned first team All-CUSD, first team All-Premier Region and second team All-State honors. Matty was selected to the Arizona 6A State All-Star game. During his junior season, Brown was named second team All-Division and All-Region. Matty twice received the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Scholar-Athlete Award and a member of the National Honor Society.
