NEXT 5 SIGNINGS FOR THE BACK-TO-BACK WEST DIVISION CHAMPS

The Back to Back West Division Champion Elmira Pioneers have officially released the next five players of their 2025 roster including, 2024 returners, local talent, & new faces. 2024 Returner C – Brandon Doubek, Painted Post Native & 2024 Returner RHP – Larsen Burch, INF– Brendan Hammer, UTL – Tanner Carranza,  & INF – Ty Martineau will join the Pios this summer.

            Brandon Doubek is a 6’ catcher from Maplewood, NJ, and a sophomore at Lafayette College. Returning for his second season with the Pios, he appeared in 14 games, scoring eight runs, while collecting two doubles and six RBIs. This season with Lafayette, he has posted a .286 batting average, continuing to show steady growth as both a hitter and defender.

            Larsen Burch is a 6’3 right-handed pitcher from Painting Post, NY and a freshman at Northern Essex Community College. Returning for his second season with the Pios, Larsen has been a standout on the mound this year for Northern Essex. Over 31.1 innings pitched, he has compiled an impressive 1.72 ERA, striking out 33 batters-an average of 9.48 strikeouts per game.

            Brendan Hammer is a 6’3 infielder from Temperance, MI, and a junior at Northwood University. A steady presence in the lineup, Brendan is batting .275 this season over 120 at-bats. He’s tallied 33 hits, including 10 doubles, while driving in 23 runs and scoring 27 himself.

            Tanner Carranza is a versatile 5’10 utility player from El Centro, CA, and a freshman at New Mexico Junior College. Known for his adaptability on the field, Tanner has made the most of his opportunities this season, batting .353 over 18 plate appearances in seven games. He’s recorded six hits, scored three runs, and added two RBIs.

            Ty Martineau is a 5’9 infielder from Jacksonville, FL, and a freshman at Flagler College. A product of Creekside High School, Ty posted a .297 batting average during his high school career and earned recognition at the 16th-ranked player in Florida’s 6A Division 3.
