Larsen Burch Honored First West Division Pitcher of the Week

ELMIRA, NY—Larsen Burch begins his third season with the Elmira Pioneers being awarded, Monday, the 2026 inaugural “pitcher of the week” for the PGCBL’s West Division.

Burch, through the first week and a half of play, accumulated 7.2 scoreless innings pitched, including a complete game shutout versus Niagara-Canada Ironbacks on Sunday. That game versus the Ironbacks also saw 11 strikeouts while only walking one.

The “Player of the Week” award went to Teddy Monahan for the Auburn Doubledays, which the Pioneers will be seeing on Friday, Jun. 12, with a firework display presented by Centralus Health.

The Elmira Pioneers pitchers look to continue their red-hot momentum into a two-game series with the Newark Pilots, with their home game being Wednesday, Jun. 10, which is also “Free Hilliard T-Shirt Night”. For ticket information call (607) 734-2690.
