HAYES AND MONROE HOLD OFF AUBURN FOR A 8-5 VICTORY

AUBURN,NY—The pitching duo of Brenden Hayes and Connor Monroe hold off the explosive Auburn offense for a 8-5 win Friday, at Falcon Park.

Hayes went through five innings where he only allowed one earned run with five hits and four walks and got the win. Connor Monroe went four innings which had three earned runs past him with just ten base runners.

The Pioneers got seven hits, none of which went for extra bases. Brandon Doubek went 2-3 with an RBI and a walk. The stat line matched Caleb Delaney’s.

The Pioneers are now 17-16 on the season.
