Elmira Pioneers Announce Two More Signings

The Pioneers are proud to announce their 2019 team is continuing to shape up as they now have two more players added to their roster, this time from East Tennessee State University, Quinn Buffington and Kyle Richardson.


Buffington is a freshman outfielder from Camp Hill, PA. A multi-sport athlete, he lettered three years in both baseball and football having won titles in high school in both sports. In 2018, Quinn batted .390 with 22 RBI’s, four homers, and a .719 slugging percentage. He earned back to back Pennlive all-star selections and an all-star sentinel first team pick in 2018.


Richardson is a freshman catcher from Zionsville, In. Kyle batted .441 in his high school career with 52 RBI’s, 28 doubles, 6 triples and four homers. He was a 2017 All-State honorable mention as team MVP as well as a 2017 All-USA Indy Super Prep 25 mentions, a 2018 second team All-USA Indiana selection and a Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-America honorable mention both in 2017 and 2018. In his first year at East Tennessee Richardson has been impressive behind the dish with a .991 fielding percentage.
