Elmira Pioneers Announce Signings from Wofford

The Pioneers are proud to announce their 2021 team is continuing to take form as they are proud to welcome Right Handed Pitcher Holden Wilder, Right Handed Pitcher/Third Baseman Owen Parliament, and Outfielder/First Baseman Aaron Thomas from Wofford to the 2021 roster.


Wilder is a 6’3 215 pound freshman at Wofford and is a right handed pitcher. Before attending Wofford Holden was a three-year starter at the Wesleyan School, where he was named All-Region twice. During his senior year, Wilder had 38 strikeouts in 18.1 innings with a 1.90 ERA. Holden was named a Perfect Game honorable mention All-American and an Under Armour honorable mention All-American before this season. Wilder was a multisport athlete and a member of the National Honor Society in high school.



Parliament is a 6’0 205 pound freshman right handed pitcher who also can play third base at Wofford. Owen has pitched just five innings this year, but has seven strikeouts in his appearances to go along with a perfect fielding percentage. Before attending Wofford Parliament was a four-year starter for LaFargeville High School where he earned conference All-Star honors all four years. Owen was also named All-Central New York first team in 2017 and 2018 and named to the All-North first team by the Watertown Daily Times twice. As a multisport athlete himself Parliament was also named an All-Star for the basketball team.



Thomas is a 6’2 215 pound freshman utility player at Wofford. Aaron was a four-year starter at first base for Boiling Springs High School where as a junior Thomas batted .283 with 19 RBIs and hit .300 as a sophomore with 16 RBIs. Aaron was named a Perfect Game preseason honorable mention All-American and played in the 2018 Palmetto Games. Aaron also played quarterback on the football team and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Holden, Owen, and Aaron will be big parts of the Pioneers this summer and we look forward to seeing what they can do at historic Dunn Field.” Matt Burch said about the signings.
