Answers Continue to Elude Pioneers, Fall 7-1

The Pioneers continue to scratch their heads as the answer to the question of winning baseball continues to be elusive. The Pios have continued to juggle lineups, rotations, bullpen usage, and everything else they can think of,  but the Red Wings continue to have their number.

Elmira came in throwing out Neftaly Severino Cronier as the starter. Cronier worked three innings, but allowed two runs as the Red Wings continued to attack the Pios early. Tonight the attack would come early and often as Geneva scored in the third, fourth, seventh, and eighth innings for a grand total of seven.

The Pios offense which has continued to blossom this summer would show up for one run. A solo shot off the bat of Preston Moore, his first of the season,  in the top of the ninth breaking the shutout bid.

The Pioneers go back to work tomorrow evening as they take on the Utica Blue Sox for the first time this season at 7:45 pm. Then on Sunday baseball returns to historic Dunn Field at 4:05! Don't miss a second of the action!
