The Pioneers got it started at the top of the second inning with a leadoff triple by Lucas Denney and a bloop RBI double by Blake Buckman (U. of Louisiana at Monroe) to put the Pios up 1-0. Buckman would come around later to score off a TrailBlazer to make it 2-0.

The TrailBlazers would answer with two runs of their own in the bottom of the second and third innings, tying the score 2-2.

In the top of the fifth, Jason Patnick (Manhattan) with a standup double. Troy Dixon (Samford) would follow up with a standup double of his own to bring in Patnick and an RBI groundout by Tyler Plantier (UC San Diego) would put the Pioneers up 4-2.

Adirondack would rally for a three run fifth inning to take their first lead of the night 5-4. They would later tack on a run in the seventh inning and take a 6-4 lead to the ninth inning. After that, the Pioneers would put up ten runs on TrailBlazer relievers Donald Goodson (Prairie State College) and Pat Geraghty (Chestnut Hill College) to ultimately put the game away. The TrailBlazers tried to bounce back but was ultimately defeated by Elmira by a score of 14-7.
