Dunn Field to Host Section IV Class AA High School Championship

Elmira, NY- The start of the PGCBL campaign for the Elmira Pioneers at Historic Dunn Field is less than ten days away and it will definitely be the place to be this summer to get your baseball fix. Before the Pioneers season kicks off high school baseball will take over Historic Dunn Field for the Section IV Class AA H.S. Baseball Championship Game.
The Elmira Express and Horseheads Blue Raiders varsity baseball teams will play for the Section IV Class AA Championship at Dunn Field on Friday, May 30th. The game between the Express and Blue Raiders will kick off at 4:30 p.m. Gates will open to the public at 3:30 p.m.
Admission for the game will be $6.00 per person and $3.00 for senior citizens. Students and children will be admitted for FREE! All ticket money will go directly to section IV. Fans are reminded that no outside food or drink will be permitted through the gates at Dunn Field. While attending the game fans will be able to purchase food and drink items from the Elmira Pioneers concession stand.
The Pioneers are prepared to once again pack Dunn Field after finishing third nationwide for total attendance a season ago. The Pioneers home opener is set for Friday, June 6th VS the Amsterdam Mohawks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and there will be plenty of entertainment for fans including a HUGE post game FIREWORKS display!!
