Spend Father’s Day at the Ballpark With the Elmira Pioneers

There is no better place to be on Father’s Day than at a baseball game, and Sunday’s Elmira Pioneers game is no exception. In fact, fans heading to Dunn Field to see the Pioneers take on the Newark Pilots at 5:05 PM will be in for a particularly special experience. Prior to the game, Sriram Hathwar, the winner of the 2014 Scripps Spelling Bee, will be honored as a Ziff Law Firm hometown hero and spell out the Pioneers’ starting lineup. Then, following the game, each fan with a ticket will have the opportunity to play catch on the Dunn Field grass with Dad in an event sponsored by His Tabernacle. Don’t have a baseball around the house? Don’t worry- baseballs will be available for purchase in the Pioneers souvenir stand.
Dunn Field has been home to baseball greats like Jim Palmer, Wade Boggs, and Don Zimmer, but the history will be the last thing on your mind as you spend an exhilarating few minutes playing catch on the field with Dad. Head to the Dunn Field Front Office at 546 Luce Street to get your tickets now or call 607-734-2690 for more information.
