Elmira Pioneers Searching for Host Families

Tuesday, July 17, 2012 | Categories:

This upcoming summer, 30 young men will descend upon Historic Dunn Field looking to play for the Elmira Pioneers. These young men are working on a dream, to one day be able to call themselves a Major Leaguer. Can you help them make their dreams come true? Do you, or someone you know, have a bedroom and bath you can make available from the end of May through the middle of August? If so then contact the Pioneers at 607-734-2690 to find out how you can help.

Those of you who have acted as Host Families before know that the Pioneers season wouldn’t be the same without your great support of the players and welcoming them into your home. Housing a player is a great way to create memories that last a lifetime. You may even become friends with a future Major League player or General Manager. Host families receive season tickets to all home Pioneers games as well as a stipend for the player(s) that you host. A team lunch will also take place during the season that host families can attend and have the chance to meet the rest of the 2015 Pioneers.
