Road Trip to Cooperstown, New York Cancelled
Elmira N.Y. June 10, 2013 –
Ladies and Gentleman your Elmira Pioneers will not be traveling to Cooperstown today. The game has been postponed for a later date due to the weather and the playing conditions of Doubleday field in Cooperstown, New York.
Don’t worry fans; the Pioneers won’t be missing in action as they head back on the road to play the Utica Brewers on Tuesday. Also, don’t forget the Pioneers will be on a five game home stand starting on Weenie Wednesday June 12th where hotdogs are only a dollar a piece. The next home game being Thursday June 13th is our guaranteed win night; if the Pioneers don’t win you can come back to Dunn Field on Friday June 14th’s game as the Pioneers take on the Geneva Red Wings. On Friday June 14th, we will be having free mini-bat night presented to you by Southern Tier Custom Fabricators to the first 1,000 kids. On the fourth night of the home stand Saturday June 15th there will be free poster schedules handed out to the fans. The final day of the home stand will be Sunday June 16th, which is Father’s day and you can come play catch with your dad on the field brought to you by His Tabernacle family church. All of those games are going to be right here in Elmira at Dunn Field. Wednesday through Saturday’s games will begin at 7PM and Sunday’s game will start at 5PM.
Come out and celebrate with your Elmira Pioneers during this five game home stand as we celebrate the 125th season of baseball here in the Twin Tiers. For more up-to date information visit www.elmirapioneers.com and for any ticketing questions call the Elmira Pioneers office at 607-734-2690.
