Pioneers and Dunn Field to Host IAC Small/Large School Championship

Elmira, N.Y. - Dunn Field will continue to stay active this spring as more high school baseball will take to the field. Fans in the Twin Tiers will have the opportunity to see a champion crowned for the second straight year as the IAC will host the large/small school championship games at Dunn Field. On Wednesday, May 14th it will be the areas large schools taking the field at 7:00 P.M. & Thursday, May 15th the areas small schools will be in action at 6:00 P.M. Should rain become a factor for the either of the scheduled games, they would be played on Friday, May 16th with the time(s) to be determined at a later date.
Last year’s IAC baseball tournament was a huge hit amongst fans in the Twin Tiers and is sure to entertain fans once again this spring at Historic Dunn Field. Tickets for all ages can be purchased for $5.00 and the Dunn Field concession stand will be open to serve food throughout both games. The Pioneers ask that fans please refrain from bringing any outside food or beverages into the stadium.
The IAC baseball tournament will showcase some of the Twin Tiers best youth talent the area has to offer. For more information on the tournament contact the Pioneers front office.
The Pioneers are prepared to once again pack Dunn Field after finishing third nationwide for total attendance a season ago. The Pioneers home opener is set for Friday, June 6th VS the Amsterdam Mohawks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and there will be plenty of entertainment for fans including a HUGE post-game FIREWORK SHOW!!
