Elmira Pioneers Agree to License Agreement Though 2021

Elmira, NY – The Elmira Pioneers made it official today that they have come to an agreement with the City of Elmira to extend their license agreement through 2021.
The Pioneers ownership group held a press conference today at the Elmira Holiday Inn to announce plans for the Pioneers future, Pioneers co-owners Robbie and Nellie Nichols along with Donald Lewis were on hand to make it official with City Manager Susan Skidmore by signing the lease extension through 2021.
“We wanted to make sure we had long term stability as owners of the Elmira Pioneers. We have invested well over $70,000.00 of our own personal money as an ownership group over the past two years. With the new lease extension, fans and sponsors can expect to see our ownership group continue to make major improvements at Historic Dunn Field.” Stated co-owner Robbie Nichols.
The extension runs through 2021 and the annual license fee will be paid by the Elmira Pioneers organization to the City of Elmira.

The Elmira Pioneers will kick off the 2014 opening weekend at Dunn Field on Friday June 6th and Saturday, June 7th with fun festivities and post-game fireworks planned on both nights.
